Latest updates for the Android v6.0 Marshmallow operating system have been released, and Motorola has started to roll out the updates for its Moto G (2nd gen)
smartphone . Following Moto G (2nd Gen) models are eligible for this update: XT1063, XT1064, XT1068, and XT1069. The Moto Maxx 2014, Turbo 2014 and Moto G 2014 have also received the updates.
You can update your Moto smartphone by check 'system updates' under 'About Phone' in your settings. Further, users who have rooted their Moto G (2nd gen) will not be eligible for the update. Also, make sure your smartphone is updated the latest Android 5. 2 stock operating system.
Other than the default operating system improvements and feature additions, Motorola has made some of its own changes to the update, which includes some improvements to Moto Assist, and removing aaps like Motorola Migrates and Motorola Alert.
Additionally, users of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in Europe also received the Marshmallow update. The changes include, improved control over app permission, easy and secure purchase using fingerprint support and an enhanced battery life.
Other than these, some of the HTC smartphones , the LG G3 and G4, have also received the update.
Further, GSMArena at the beginning of 2016, had posted an official list of smartphones that would receive the update (some of which already have). Therefore, if you haven't received the update yet but your smartphone is on the list, then you hold on tight as you will soon get .
